Dr. Walter Felix Cardoso Junior, Secretary of Strategic Planning of the Special Secretariat for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic, has received Mr. Marcelo Augusto de Felippes, CEO, and Mr. Caio Freitas, Institutional and Commercial Manager, as the representatives of ADB, as well as the Consultant of the company LIA, Mr. Antônio Marques, and the representative of Inter-American Transportation Organization - CIT, Miss. Larissa Barreto Revete, Executive Director.

SAE is the responsible department for assisting the President of the Republic in planning of strategies that can generate effective long-term public policies. It is also responsible for formulating strategic goals, identifying risks and threats to national integrity and interests, as well as identifying opportunities that can foster positive actions for society and the country's future. which includes ADB's strategic projects.

SAE has the authority to express its opinion on strategic matters forwarded by the President of the Republic or by the Secretary General of the Presidency.

The Special Secretariat is also responsible for articulating national policies and strategies with government agencies, public authorities and institutions of civil society, as well as coordinating and supervising the projects and programs necessary for the design of strategic government actions.

SAE is responsible as well for promoting, within the scope of the federal public administration, actions aimed at a greater international insertion of the Country. It is proposed to propose strategic mechanisms for technical and political coordination with national and international public and private institutions that subsidize the improvement, modernization and strengthening of the public sector.

In that context, SAE has shown interest in monitoring ADB's strategic projects and it will begin to interact about solutions that are of interest to Brazil.
